1: The energy of life existing in all beings. Exists both inside and outside of the beings physical shell as both a fuel for the physical realm and a connection to the universal life-force.

2: The force of mind/body/spirit that has always existed and will always exist.

1: The existence of the soul is heavily debated in the first place, and its definition varies greatly from party to party, though everyone believes that everyone else's definitions are wrong. It is generally agreed to be something possessed by every person, and that's about all. Therefore, the soul may or may not be any of the following:

  * e.g.,  ... Strangely, no one seems to suggest that animals have souls and humans lack them.

2:  The human mind, that is, that thinking thing lodged behind your eyes;

6:  All of someone's personality or what makes them unique;

7:  Some mystical version of a person that lives on after the body dies;

8:  A spiritual concept, created by God (or the gods if you prefer) or a part of him;

9:  The quality of being alive;

10:  Anything else you can think of along these lines.

11: Note that it is also up for debate whether or not non-human animals, or for that matter, plants, have souls; feel free to adjust these answers accordingly.

1: A genre of music similar to funk. Its similar to R&B but has more emphasis on vocals and sounds kinda like african gospel music. Its very rhythmic and energetic. Ray Charles made it in the 1960s and it became really popular during the 1970s.

2: Colloquially: authenticity, style, or passion. Used almost exclusively in expressions similar to "he's got soul," often used to refer to individual (e.g. improvisational) expression in music styles such as jazz.

3: Also, a harmonically simple, often syncopated, style of music made by black people such as James Brown, usually played by small groups, though occasionally involving horn sections, related to funk and rock and always having vocals. This music is claimed to embody the above characteristic.

  * e.g.,  ... People are so afraid of death that they have to think that they are immortal. They call this immortality a soul. You don't have a soul. Get real!

1: a rollerblading grind in which (for a right handed person) the right foot is locked on to the edge of a curb, rail, etc. and the left has the arch perpendicular to the right foot. the h-block (center grind block) of the left is on the curb, rail, etc.
