1: Respectable nu-metal. Bands like Disturbed and SOAD are nu-metal's last glimmer of hope, unfortunately.

1: A kickass Nu-metal band. Nu-metal being a subtype of the Metal genre. Disturbed is about the best Nu-metal has to offer.

1: Arguablly one of the greatest bands of the nu metal genre and possibly the greatest metal band ever. With Draimans razor-sharp vocals and the bands savage guitar sounds and meaningfull lyrics that range anywhere from the torment of the soul to ripping some one a new asshole, or the ignorance of people and their constant tendency to limit their selves beyond anything that will cause them any discomfort, challenge their views, or force them to actually think at all; to just the surge surge of adrenaline you get when you rock out and mosh to to something really violent, heavy and truly kick ass. That which is what the metal genre has been built on. Any one who thinks that Disturbed's lyrics are old, tiresome, and trivial forget that TRUE metal is not based on lyrics alone, that TRUE metal is a mix of hard hitting, savage, almost maleviolent and completly awesome guitar sounds;a lead singer who has the ability to put raw, razor-sharp vocals into every lyric sung; and the bands ability to make this all sound natural and smooth. Any one who judges a band soully on it's lyrics and how greatlly written they are should be impaled on a giant, burning spike Vlad style. Disturbed represents all these quallitys and is with out a doubt one of the greatest bands ever. Also people who think Disturbed sold out and became wuss-ified in the belive albums are ignorants pricks not being able to see beyond their bloody dicks from jerking it to much and the fact that just because something is not mindlessy violent does not mean it is not kick-ass metal. word is bond bitches.

1: A newer Hard-Rock band and possibly the best anyone has seen or will see for a long time. They are one of the last glimmers of hope for the Hard-Rock genre after it was overcome by bandwagen following "Pussy-Pop-Shit-Rock" bands whom carelessly call themselves Hard-Rock (green day, my chemical romance, the used). The band is indeed heavy, and would be thought to be Metal, but the members of Disturbed prefer them be considered Hard-Rock. Unlike most new "Hard-Rock" bands, they don't whine about shit, but instead confront it using music with macabre riffs and and intence, meaningful lyrics. I challenge any "hater" or whatever the fuck you pussy's call yourselves to read just the lyrics of any Disturbed song and tell me that it has no meaning, and doesn't make you stop and think about the point Draiman is introducing (covers don't count, assholes).

1: A nu-metal (generally pertaining to their first album, The Sickness)/hard rock (the latter albums, Believe and Ten Thousand Fists) band mostly known for their debut and its most popular single, "Down With The Sickness". Therefore, they are generally dismissed as an immature, typical nu-metal band. While The Sickness is decent, their follow-up, Believe, contains melodic and complex elements that more than surpass it. Their most recent album, Ten Thousand Fists, effectively combines the anger of The Sickness and the focused creativity of Believe. Most listeners do not realize this, of course.

1: one of the only really good bands out there today. i have advice: do not buy a disturbed CD at Walmart. Liberation sounds like shit with every single motherfucker bleeped out. I hate big retail stores like that where they pull some shit like that to ruin the song, just as long as we can't hear any cuss words, heaven forbid. Anyway, they have some truly great songs, like Stricken, Down with the Sickness, Fear, Liberation, Decadence, Just Stop, I could go on. great band and FUCK you haters.
