1: Describes a person, action or event that is awful, terrible, hopeless and not worthy of mention. It is pathetic and woeful beyond belief.

  * e.g.,  ... It is often used before 'the'. For example, Penman's attempts to pick up women are "the pits." The pits is also interchangeable with the use of "Charles Lie" or "Angus Lie." e.g. Gus Lie is "Charles Lie"

1: pits are short for "armpits" otherwise called underarms

  * e.g.,  ... Sara shaves her pits before wearing a sleeveless top.

1: An expletive to replace fuck, shit, stinks, or sucks. Stands for Penis Is Too Small.

  * e.g.,  ... After whipping out his whopping mini-weiner, Fundo's girlfriend exclaimed, "That pits!!!"

1: n. - An area for graffiti artists and writers to practice their graffiti. Pits are usually abandoned buildings or washes where it isn't frequented by too many people, allowing writers to practice at peace. (For the most part: i.e. beef with other writers and occasional police call)

1: When a surfer/ sponger/ skimmer gets barreled in a wave.

  * e.g.,  ... Aw brah its just like, you just get the best barrels ever dude. you come in and get spit righttt out. just drop in and smack the lip, wah BAH, just drop back in like BAHHHH, just ride the barrel and get pitted, sooo pitted like THAT.

 [ "PITTing" ]

1:  To lose to a lesser opponent To lose at the end of a sporting event in a rather peculiar fashion. To find a way to lose while winning.

  * e.g.,  ... The Panthers are winning to start the 4th quarter, I hope they don't end up PITTing at the end.

1: something that sucks

  * e.g.,  ... dude, that new movie's the pits, huh?? 

 [ "Pit" ]

1: Also known as the front-ensemble. Usually most talented in band. Brings color and warmth to music in marching band/drum corps. Usually related to drumline. Section that gets most crap for not having to march but yet takes most skill, technique, and practicing.

  * e.g.,  ... Dude the pit is rockin' it out there.

1: "Dirty" or "Muddy". Of North Eastern English origin, likely related to the the dirty coal mines or "Pits" that were found there in industrial England.

  * e.g.,  ... "I've got mud all over my trousers I'm pitted" 

 [ "Pit" ]

1: Preferably the Front Ensemble. The most abused part of the marching band by hornline members for their lack of marching. And yet also the section that adds great music in, has to push around enormous instruments and often get tendinitis or carpal tunnel from all the practicing. The section that takes the most work, concentration, and definitely puts in the most practice hours. The Front is their own family with the most weird jokes, creepy innuendos and most laughs. Also the section that loves one another and will do most anything for the another section member. The Front is part of the Drumline although it is often excluded from all groups.

  * e.g.,  ... "man the Pit has a lot of notes" "dude our pit is awesome!!"
