This can be a response to somebody when you don't know if they are "pretending" to be dumb. It can be an affirmation of someone's stupidity. Can be synonymous with replying to somebody who is being deadass wrong. In other words, the feeling you get when you thought someone's actions or words were a joke but they were not.

They smile at people/neighbors/coworkers they hate, they pretend to be joking or kidding with people they want dead, and they pretend to fight allies to try and convince their enemies that they are on opposite sides (for show). Most people would rather come to someone indirectly with a smile before they kill them than directly with their true intentions toward the other person, with no pretense or guile.
