1: "Halfway" is an Irish-American holiday, short for "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day." It is celebrated annually on September 17. It can also be celebrated as Halfway to Unofficial. It is most often celebrated where there are high concentrations of Irish-Americans, such as Illinois, Ohio, and Minnesota, but Celtic clubs and pubs in other states are continuing the trend by hosting 5k runs, barcrawls, or Irish music concerts.

1: Those funny times in middle school when you would say half of a curse word and then your friend would say the other half. This would usually occur during class while the teacher was trying to teach the class his or her lesson.

1: An impossibility or oxymoron. You either are or are not a crook. You can't steal a little bit from someone and be called a partial thief. You have taken, you are a thief, period. Therefore to say someone is a halfway crook is to refer to an impossibility. This term was made popular by Mobb Deep in the song "Shook Ones" when they called whack niggahs out who were "Scared to death, scared to look, you shook, cuz ain't no such thing as Halfway Crooks"

1: The segment of US-1 in Deerfield Beach, Florida between Hillsboro Boulevard and Southwest 10th Street. The nickname is given due to the high density of halfway houses located there. These people are often seen sitting outside of the local Publix Supermarket talking about life as they see it. Notable Personalities Include: -Bob the Bus-Stop Bench Warmer
