1: This term is generally used when two or perhaps a few more people debate something so obscure, or perhaps simply uninteresting to the general public, that they are the only people on the planet who know about the subject, and therefore know so much more about this specific subject than everyone else that they can only be deemed "scholars" on the subject.

1: A guy who appears to be a gentleman and a scholar, but is really a douchebag.

  * e.g.,  ... Girl 1: "So I was talking to this guy who seemed alright, but then just turned into a douchebag." 

 [ "Scholarly-Aggressive" ]

1: of or denoting a type of behavior or personality characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of academia and an avoidance of direct confrontation, as in procrastinating, pouting, or pontificating from your ivory tower.

  * e.g.,  ... Dr. Rye responded to the shock of university politics by binge watching The Chair on Netflix and sending scholarly-aggressive emails to her department about how back-door deals shouldn't be required to get custodians to clean the practicum site or to have working computers.
