He or she is highly trained in the interpretation of radiographs (x-rays), CT, MRI, PET scans, ultrasound, and other medical imaging studies. They can also perform multiple minimally invasive procedures like angiograms, biopsies, drainages, chemo-embolizations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, etc. A radiology residency is one of the most competitive residencies to obtain and is highly coveted amongst the top medical students and other physicians alike
