1: Originally the term given to drug users, ( especially heroin users) early in the twentieth centery, who supported their habit by collecting and selling scrap metal. Hence the term got started by the drug addicts penchant for collecting "junk" rather than the "junk" (drugs) they used.

  * e.g.,  ... The Junkie is out collecting scrap again he must be in need of a fix.

1: A person who is consumed by an addiction. Aspects of their life suffer as he/she satisifies the addiction. See addict

  * e.g.,  ... That guy is a total rock junkie. He just can't get enough.

1: Generally, junkie (in terms of drug abuse) applies to someone addicted to a narcotic-- such as heroin, morphine, opium, codeine, and methadone.

  * e.g.,  ... Rush Limbaugh is a junkie.

1: A person who is consumed by an addiction. One who would rather buy drugs then take care of responsibilities like rent.

  * e.g.,  ... I'm sorry I do not have money for rent because I am broke. (although person has a bag of coke in their pocket)

  * e.g.,  ... a) i'm not a junkie, i'm a punk rocker!

2: b) substitute for feind

  * e.g.,  ... b) adrenaline junkie, chocolate junkie, junkfood junkie, murder junkie..

1: A person who injects drugs.

  * e.g.,  ... Samantha: Lets go visit Sylvia

1: A junkie is someone that injects their drug of choice by a needle. Dirty or clean needles. They shoot up in their arms, under their fingernails, in their foot, in their neck, basically anywhere they can find a vein. A junkie is an addict who can't get high any other way than to shoot it.

  * e.g.,  ... A junkie is a person with scars on their arms,known as track marks.A junkie is Someone who will do whatever it takes lie, steal, cheat, do sexual favors, belittle themselves if thats possible for that next fix.A junkie might have bruises and knots from missing their vein.

1: A photo, taken with your celphone, of your own junk. Like a selfie, but far more special.

  * e.g.,  ... Instead of sending it to Jeannie, I accidentally sent my junkie to my Grandma.

1: Often referred to as a crackhead, or a bum on the street. Slang word highly used in the ATL.

  * e.g.,  ... "That junkie over there just asked me for spare change!"

1: A person who is high in some way or another

  * e.g.,  ... What about an adrenaline junkie? somebody who likes to freak themselves out by jumping out of scary places, like planes in the air
