1: A building that is 10 or more stories (floors), and are usually located in the downtown areas of big cities, major metropolises, and large towns. They come in various architectural designs, but the most common ones are those of the "modern" style that have been built from the 1970s through the 1990s.

  * e.g.,  ... The World's Tallest High-rise building is the Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan. It was just recently completed in 2004 and has now passed the skyscraper that was the long-time holder of the title of the World's Tallest Building: The Sears Tower in Chicago.

2: High-Rise buildings are usually constructed with steel and steel beams, glass, and concrete. The very first high-rise was built in Chicago in 1885, being around 15 stories. High-Rises that are usually 20 or more floors in heighth are also known as "skyscrapers".

1: A building with a deeper foundation than a mid rise or low rise.

1: When your drunk friend moons the tourists far below her hotel room on the 39th floor. Some believe spotting a high rise ham is a sign of good luck.

1: A highly competitive, underground event held after dark in major metropolitan cities during which participants hang their asses off a high rise balcony, endeavoring to take a calculated dump onto the heads of those passing on the street below.

  * e.g.,  ... I’m so proud of my youngest son, he took first place in the high rise turding event last weekend and you know advanced applied physics is part of it all.

1: When you go into an elevator by yourself and jerk off before you reach your floor. (The closer the better)

 [ "Hawaiian high rise" ]

1: The Hawaiian high rise is a public pooping maneuver that helps prevent but not limited to such instances as sitting on the seat itself and backsplash from the poop by being in a position where you can quickly move yourself forward as the poop exits your butt. It’s a hovering move that was put into practice after some poops in highly questionable places such as but not limited to Porta johns, popular college bars during its busiest times, airports, tradeshows, and rest areas.

1: A totally kickin-rad haircut where the neckline on the back of your head is cut higher than normal. All the cool kids have this haircut.
