1: generally of uk southern origin, a fairy is someone who lives in the London catchment area or within an hours drive, thus gaining a Mockney (mock cockney) accent. Usually can be found ordering a shandy in any bar or pub and being generally offensive to any surrounding patrons in the public area. Renowned for replacing U's in swear words with A's.

1: a male who acts slightly feminine but not neccessary means that they are gay.

  * e.g.,  ... look at that guy over there, what a fairy.

1: 1) A little magical sprite with insect wings. Usually either grants wishes or wreaks mischief.

  * e.g.,  ... "Do you really expect us to believe that there's a fairy in your mother's garden?"

2: 2) A gay man who acts more stereotypically feminine than most straight women.

  * e.g.,  ... "Have you noticed that as soon as Joe came out, he turned into an utter fairy?"

1: 1) A humanoid creature with magical powers and sometimes butterfly wings. Fairies (or "faeries" if you prefer) can be any size from the size of a seed to human size. Known to be pranksters, it is best not to get on their bad side. Dwarves, leprachauns, satyrs, banshees, nymphs and elves can also be concidered fairies.

  * e.g.,  ... 1) The fairy darted through the forest, trailing magic dust.

2: 2) A usually derogatory term for a gay male, especially one who is flamboyant and acts more "feminine" than a woman (as if there were something wrong with being feminine). A heterosexual man who acts in a feminine manner is also sometimes called a "fairy".

1: A male who acts feminine and is typically a homosexual but can also be heterosexual.
