1: An employee that works for a construction firm or general contractor that prices projects and tries to make the company as much money as possible. This requires lots of lying to subcontractors and giving away other numbers in order to have them lower their costs so you can screw them in the ass while you make your company more money. The job also requires you to count every nail, doorknob, electrical outlet and tampon despenser (also known as a Sanitary Napkin Despenser) in a building. Throughout the day you will degrade architects left and right becuase they don't even know how to wipe their own asses. You will go home and fall aspleep with numbers flying around in your head and you will wake up and write down notes like "Remember to include damproofing in the elevator pit" in your sleep. Most people can't handle the job and either end up suicidal or fired. Those that stick around end up making decent money and look foward to rediculing architects.

1: A term used by IT staff this typically indicates they have no clue when something will be done.

  * e.g.,  ... I estimate the order will be completed by Friday, but in reality, I don't have a fucking clue. 

 [ "ESTIMATOR" ]

1: He who guesses / states facts based on very little actual knowledge.

  * e.g.,  ... 'Out of the criminals we have let out early only 10% have re-offended'

2: Someone who likes to quote unsubstantiated figures and stastitics in the vain hope that whoever is listening is just as fucking stupid as they are

1: Estimate is a common word used in the construction industry. Usually used by a worker in a supervisory position or someone with their own truck as a way to get out of doing a shitty job or just not wanting to deal with it. Inclement weather and temperature usually play into it.

1: This describes someone who is a phony prophet for money, a prophet for profit.

  * e.g.,  ... Reverend Salvation made millions as an estimated prophet in the pray for pay business! 

 [ "under-estimate" ]

1: an estimation that is too low; an estimate that is less than the true or actual value

  * e.g.,  ... I think Kendall under-estimated allen when they went out to the movies. 

 [ "Conservative Estimate" ]

1: A completely implausible figure made up by a conservative and stated as fact.

  * e.g.,  ... Conservative Estimates: The President's 10-day trip to India will cost $200,000,000/day. The probability of a cell forming by chance is 10^-58, and any event with a probability of less than 10^-40 is impossible.

1: When you give an estimate and pull the numbers from your ass.

  * e.g.,  ... The mechanic had no idea what the problem was so he gave me an anal estimate.
