1: The inevitable delay when you are in a hurry, caused by the clown in front of you having issues with paying for their things. Very common in Walmart and 7-11, less prevalent in Home Depot or Cosco.

1: when one passes a reflective surface and can't resist the urge to "check themselves out"

  * e.g.,  ... did you see that guy pass that window? he totally just did a self checkout 

 [ "The Devil's Checkout" ]

1: When one is clearing the rubble from their Dairyaire after a particular nasty number 2 session. Without the proper tp coverage allowing, ones finger to slip from behind their paper based armor. Brushing against ones said Anus, very much like a checkout clerk would scan a item. And when not hearing the beep of that item, called for a price check...Smelling ones fingers

  * e.g.,  ... Sorry I am late had to wash my hands, went though the Devil's checkout and got hung up on the price check 

 [ "checkout dick" ]

1: Male. Serves people on the checkout/cashier/desk at a supermarket or department store. Opposite of checkout chick.

  * e.g.,  ... a) "My boyfriend's a checkout dick...." 

 [ "checkout tart" ]

1: Someone who works in a supermarket on the checkout, usually a girl, but can also be used as an insulting term for a male checkout worker. Similar to Scanner Monkey

  * e.g.,  ... 'Jack got a job at the supermarket, he's such a checkout tart!' 

 [ "Checkout Catfished" ]

1: When you get behind someone with few groceries in line and someone else comes along and says "I'm with them" and piles a bunch more groceries on. You saw a glimpse of one shopper, but what you got once you were in line was something entirely different.

  * e.g.,  ... "Aww man, that lady just jumped in with a whole other cart" 

 [ "Checkout Stick" ]

1: A term to describe someone or something as useless as a grocery checkout lane divider.

  * e.g.,  ... "Dont talk to Ethan, he's being an absolute checkout stick right now" 

 [ "checkout chick" ]

1:  An underpaid worker in a supermarket etc who is worked into the ground and treated like a slave by higher ranking supermarket workers, who are usually in their 40's and are under qualifyed for the real world.

  * e.g.,  ...  God, that checkout chick hates the supermarket. 

 [ "checkout chick" ]

2: Usually required to work up to 10 hours in a supermarket either all at once or by split shifts, and are forced to act greatful for their existance and act like slave labour is the best thing since sliced bread.

  * e.g.,  ...  Lucy is always acting like a f**king checkout chick.

3:  Someone who is always happy in any given job.

1: Female. Serves people on the checkout/cashier/desk at a supermarket or department store. Opposite of checkout dick.

1: The failure to checkout passed out, lubed up, ass up discreetly snoring while waiting for your trick.
