This kind of magic, unlike stage magic, requires much more skill by the magician instead of by an assistant like in stage magic. Downsides of close-up magic is that people tend to try to ruin your trick on the spot because they don't give a shit on how amazing it is a lot of the time and most likely want to spoil it because they like to remind themselves that they are gay fags.
