 [ "Washed up" ]

1: A person who was once great at something is a now a shell of his/herself.

  * e.g.,  ... Man Tracy McGrady was so good 10 years ago, now he is all washed up. Jerry Stackhouse was such a great player. To bad he's just an old washed up fringe player now. 

 [ "wash-up" ]

1: (noun) A person who has been spat out of a city, a career, an endeavor, (or anything of the like, usually of a status that is generally perceived as "higher") and is back down to the level of normal people. Originates from the concept of an ocean's waves "washing up" the junk (i.e., seaweed, starfish, beachwood, plastic, debris, dead fish, etc.) onto the shore after having been spat out of the ocean.

  * e.g.,  ... After pursuing acting in Los Angeles with mediocre success, he came back home to Kansas, where the folks thought of him as somewhat of a celebrity, but deep down, he knew he was just an LA wash-up. She lost the congressional race, was booted from her incumbent seat, and had to pack her bags and go back to being a regular old civilian. She tried her best to not make a big presence or be seen much in her hometown, lest her community members recognize her as the political wash-up that she now is.

1: Something that has once had it's peak of greatness far too long ago, and is now still being over used, over played, and is still spoon fed through the media, even though it's gotten extremely old, bland, worn out, and is just sad to still see around.

  * e.g.,  ... When is Korn going to quit churning out new albums? Korn, and the entire nu-metal genre is washed up, when will they ever just let them die?!? 

 [ "wash-up" ]

1: A wash-up is someone, whose best years are over, a worn out has-been, who is past his prime and over the hill.

  * e.g.,  ... Heckler: "It is not funny, that's why you're a reject, never had no shows, never had no movies, 'Seinfeld' - that's it!" 

 [ "Washed Up" ]

1: Tyler Perry - A director who rehashes the same movie about a poor/middle class black family in really bad situations again and again. He is not remotely funny. His career is done like dinner.

  * e.g.,  ... Honey you're washed up like Tyler Perry. 

 [ "wash up" ]

1: a ghetto bath.... u mainly take a damp towell/wash rag.. and wash yourself while standing w/ full clothes on...

  * e.g.,  ... "Boy, you had bath today?" "Momma i had a wash up!"

1: when you find ariel the mermaid on the beach and you take that mermaid puss and toss her back into the ocean

  * e.g.,  ... washed up is a sex move

1: what losers call people who have accomplished somthing once or who are above them in looks, personality , talent etc.

  * e.g.,  ... i havent done anything good in my life and aint comfortable wit myself so im gona call him washed up cause he did somthin or accomplished somthin

1: to cleanse another of an embarrassing moment.

  * e.g.,  ... Like when a person does or says something stupid or gross, it would be appropriate to tell them to "wash up."

  * e.g.,  ... "Bobby, go wash up before supper, you've been playing outside all day"
