1: 1) a theoretical "perfect" realm, in which everyone is content, where things get done well by people who are happy to do them, and where all the problems which have plagued our world for millenia no longer apply. whoever came up with the idea was drunk, stoned, tripping or insane. maybe all four.

1: A place in which there are no problems. Everything is perfect.

1: Utopia is the theory that if humans are given enough time they will eventually create a perfect world; a place so unrealistic that it can only be in your dreams. In a utopia everything is serene and free of any and all problems imaginable, but it is a place that doesn’t exist. Every utopia has faults which makes it a dystopia. Not everyone will agree in a utopia which will cause chaos, thus making a utopia an unfeasible thing.

  * e.g.,  ... Ex. Neverland, from Peter Pan. It seems perfect there, to be forever young is great, to have no supervision is what every kid wants. But the utopia becomes a dystopia when the lost boys realize they might want to grow up, the problem of captain Hook, and when their leader/friend, Peter Pan, might leave.

1: A Greek word means a perfect place that does not exist. Sir Thomas More wrote a fiction on a perfect country showing what was going on in this country but did not give reasons why that could or could not happen.

1: Noun. The perfect society; theoretically impossible but practically verifiable, for example by a democratic referendum. IMO, given the necessary conditions of Utopia's survival and recognisability as the perfect society, the characteristics of a Utopian society - survivalism, rationalism, freedom, and happiness - may be derived and society may remodel itself along Utopian lines.

1: A utopia is an idealized social construct largely relegated to fiction and sociological thought experiments. In a utopia everybody gets along and does not need much if anything. In theory all have equal rights to food, shelter, and other basic needs. There are many suggested forms of utopia suggested: Eco, Technological, Religious, Science, Economic, etc. There are others, but it boils down to any given system and the will of the people over all. The moment someone decides to take over or people start to grow disillusioned. All attempts have failed to produce a viable society and have broken down. (See Plato's Republic.) Proponents of any one of these will argue with their dying breath how the other ones are the devil, however the truth is that each has their pros and cons. The fact is they're a pipe dream because human nature: greed and selfishness.
