1: A supernova, is the catastrophic gravitational collapse of a stellar (star) core having a mass greater than 5 times the mass of the Sun. This is the last stage of the evolution of a star on the main sequence (Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram), and which ends in a violent explosion of the star's core, when nuclear forces prohibit any further collapse of the star, leaving behind a neutronium core, making it a neutron star. Supernovae are the most energetic stellar events in the known universe.

  * e.g.,  ... In 1989, a star in the galaxy M66, in the constellation Leo, underwent a supernova core collapse, which left stellar remnants in the form of a planetary nebula.

1: A long legged black male with rather nappy hair that lives in the highest sections of the northeast. Referred to as supernova, because they are extremely rare.

Unlike viral trends, trends that Supernova may or may not circulate rapidly and widely from one Internet user to another, but they eventually gain world wide acclaim. The full meaning is most clearly grasped, after the epiphanies experienced via deep contemplation of the juxtaposition with its antithesis, "viral." While both types of works trend, only positive ones Supernova! (verb) To ejaculate so intensely one lose consciousness. (noun) A rare celestial phenomenon that inspired the slang term Supernova. I was concerned I was gonna have to call 911 after she Supernova'd and I couldn't wake her, for like, 10 minutes!! She artfully described a supernova as, "a star that gives birth to stars, as it gives its all to light up the darkness that surrounds us."

1: The cataclysmic explosion of a massive star. A Supernova may, for a short time, out shine an entire galaxy of a hundred billion ordinary stars. It is thought to leave behind a highly compressed neutron star.

  * e.g.,  ... Our Sun could never go supernova because it is simply too small. Only a massive star could die as a supernova.
