1: Basic, mandatory item. A term used in the military. Serves for various things, including weapons and clothes (normally called BDU's).

  * e.g.,  ... "The M16 is the standard-issue firearm of the US military, and the Beretta M9 is the standard-issue sidearm." 

 [ "Standard Issue" ]

1: For something to be standard issue is for it to be completely ordinary, average, nothing special, or unimpressive. Ordinarily used when someone believes something they did to be amazing when it is in fact very much not.

 [ "Standard Issue Cat" ]

1: Brown mackerel tabbies Also called "SIC" in short

  * e.g.,  ... I always feed neighbor's standard issue cat instead of my own because they look the same! 

 [ "standard issue mustache" ]

1: The type of mustache that all stereotypical cops have.

 [ "standard issue belt" ]

1: A term used to refer to a studded black belt (leather or vinyl), typically found in the wardrobes of anybody who identifies with any alternative lifestyle, good and bad (rockers, punks, metalheads, goths, ravers, emos, etc). This term is used by any of the above mentioned people due to their abundance and ready availability and to indicate their necessity in an alternative wardrobe.

  * e.g.,  ... hmm, looking for some new clothes, know where to start? 

 [ "Standard Issue Non-Conformist" ]

1: I'm sure you already know what this term means, maybe even from experience. If not, it is the Safety Pinned Patches on Overwhelmingly Dark Clothing look, also called emo or goth, but usually lacks originality. This doesn't make a person bad or stupid, but their energy would be better spent distinguishing themselves through some remarkable contribution rather than just violating popular conventions with an attitude.

 [ "Standard Issue Midget Face" ]

1: Or “SIMF” for short. Most dwarves have the same face. When you see a “SIMF” you just know that look. It’s a very standard look amongst little people, with distinct features including a large head and prominent forehead. A non-dwarf or little person can also have a standard issue midget face, in fact, this is a great way to define people that look like little people but are not suffering from achondroplasia.

  * e.g.,  ... Tara definitely has standard issue midget face. You can totally see it in her large prominent forehead.
