1: an illusion created by the modern world. closely connected to common sense; the biggest lie of the public. not real, the concept of sanity itself could drive anyone insane if they thought about it too long. being sane is not real but somehow it feels as though being mad is. in the end no one is sane and sanity is just a way of keeping a perfect illusion of good and bad, real and fake, right and wrong.... sane and mad.
