1: The correct definition of a 'refugee' is a person who is outside the country of their nationality, and is unable to or unwilling to avail him/herself of the protection of that country due to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion.

2: The latest use for the word refugee arrived in 2005 after hurricane katrina, when due to a natural disaster, the citizens of the gulf coast lost citizenship of the u.s. and aparently became outsiders.

1: Everyone from the New Orleans region that left to other cities (including Houston,TX)and usually screwed the infrastructure up!

1: The act of making up an excuse to not go back to your own dorm room in hopes of getting a random hookup.

  * e.g.,  ... Someone was caught refugeeing in DJ's room after the party.

1: A person who has to leave their home because of war or prosecution and tries to find shelter in another country.

  * e.g.,  ... That refugee ran from the war in his country.
