1: A semi-exclusive group based in southwestern Virginia consisting of several members and several smaller subgroups. Some of these subgroups include the SCOTNAT, the Council of Men, and the Thotpolice. A member of this group is known as a Nib. The Nibs can frequently be spotted eating out at many places, but most frequently at Waffle House. Another spot the Nibs tend to frequent is the Mancave. The Nibs can be a bit rowdy and nonsensical at times, but they are capable of intelligent and calm conversation as well. They frequently communicate through the name-changing Snapchat groupchat and through their private Discord chat.

1: "Newly Initiated Brother." Used by Fraternities to describe pledges who have recently been initiated

1: A British slang term used, jokingly, to refer to someone who is a bit full of themself, snobbish, and/or aristocratic. Who, basically, has an over-large ego.

1: A small amount of ones food given to a friend. When a Nib is asked for, one cannot decline the Nib otherwise the Nib rule is broken. It is frowned upon to decline a Nib, and can result in a punishment.

1: the inked writing point of a marker or pen.

  * e.g.,  ... I was tagging this electrical box at the intersection with a fat drippy marker when the nib fell out and landed in the dirt.

1: The claim that your attempt to wind someone up has succeeded. Relates to the term "fish nibbling at my bait" This can be a result of a simple one liner or multiple attacks over a course of an hour/day/week/year - no time limit really.

2: Nibs can be lined up either in person, over the phone, email/text, smoke signals.

1: Casual dismissal of another person's opinion. Used in much the same context as talk to the hand. Best accompanied by hand actions to mimic a talking mouth.

1: 4 bit variable in programming (number between 0-15).

  * e.g.,  ... EGA graphics used NIBs when jesus was walking over water
