1: A word derived from the region of Greece named Laconia, the capital city of which is Sparta. It means to speak in a concise way, as the Spartans often did.

1: An adjective used to describe individuals who are brief in speech and communication; some one who is quiet and answers questions and talks in short answers and sentences. Laconic individuals get straight to the point, where in some instances people may misconstrue it as rudeness or creepiness.
