1: A situation where you're attempting to mediate 2 parties and both of them are being difficult to work with and blaming you instead of recognizing you as the only reasonable person attempting to help them both meet their objectives,

  * e.g.,  ... Trying to schedule 2 executives at different companies for a meeting and their being impossible and contradictory to jeopardize the meeting that allegedly "important" to both. The "scheduler" is caught in an Intransigence Sandwich.
