1: Edible provides a credible adjective to words requiring editing that are not necessarily consumable, thus defeating the age old myth that food needs to be eligible in order to be edible.

  * e.g.,  ... I clicked on edit in urbandictionary thinking some more scrumptiouos definitions may be edible. Although I thought fruit was edible it was ok, so there was no need for the spelling to be edible.

Although it varies from person to person, edibles tend to result in a much more intense and longer-lasting high than smoking.   * e.g.,  ... shes'/hes' got a high degree of edibility!! one doesn't make a 'mess' in/on that; one EATS THAT!! she wanted a dosage of my 'hot sauce', but had such a high degree of edibility; i could only think FOOD!!
