1: The act of one dressing up as the gender that they do not normally find themselves living as. This is done usually as a hobby, in order to live out fantasies, for drag shows/parties, or for sexual excitement. Oh and just to make it clear; TRANSSEXUALS DO NOT CROSS-DRESS, AND CROSS-DRESSERS AREN'T NECESSARILY LGBT!!!!!!

  * e.g.,  ... Cory: Hey Ari, just curious; between you and me, have you ever found your brother Josh cross-dressing? I mean he's so effeminate like I would bet 100 hundred dollars that he cross-dresses. I mean let's shake on it now.

1: The act of dressing and acting as the opposite gender; usually a hobby. What I do in my spare time.

  * e.g.,  ... "I hope my mom doesn't find out about my cross-dressing. It would suck if she walked in and found me wearing my little brother's clothes."

1: A drag-queen term for the discount clothing chain Ross Dress For Less, because the clothing runs to the large sizes she-males tend to require.

  * e.g.,  ... Honey, I got these great size-eleven shoes at Cross Dress For Less! 

 [ "criss-cross dressing" ]

1: When two people of opposite genders cross-dress simultaneously.

  * e.g.,  ... I was Peaches, and my girlfriend was Mario for Halloween--we were criss-cross dressing!
