1: A room or building often located on a school campus which proports to offer comestibles to the masses. However, one most often finds that the fare available in cafeterias does not truly resemble any known food substances. In fact, upon further investigation most knowlegable people flee in horror and disgust from the so-called meals. Others, be they gluttons for punishment (both literal and figurative) or simply starved past the point of reason, choose to ignore the warnings that their senses of sight, smell, touch, and taste are screaming at them, and foolishly proceed to shovel the not-quite deadly toxins into their bodies. For these unlucky individuals a cafeteria can provide them with just enough energy to survive for a few more hours.

  * e.g.,  ... I strapped for cash today so I'll have to eat at the cafeteria.

1: A term used by locals referring to the Taco Bell located on 18 East 14th Street in Greenwich Village/Union Square New York. It's called the cafeteria due to the nature of the people who frequent this location (junkies, transients, weirdos from Union Square park), and also because of it's size. You can also do pretty much anything here, sleep, lounge and even maybe eat the food.

  * e.g.,  ... Is there a fast food place close by? yo, right down the way..there's a cafeteria. A cafeteria? Yeah they also call it Taco Bell.

1: a Roman Catholic who chooses to follow what ever church idea or prohibition they choose to at his/her own discretion

1: Someone you NEVER want to see naked.It's that large oafish woman who wears the plastic hair bonnet that dollops mashed taters all over your lunch tray. Usually looks as if she could be equally employed as a female prison guard.

  * e.g.,  ... I had a horrible dream where the cafeteria lady was sunbathing in the nude on the playground.

1: When your man only reads your texts but, doesn't answer. He picks what texts he wants to answer. Like when you are at a cafeteria picking what you'd like to eat. You choose what you want to eat.

  * e.g.,  ... Ugh.... Chris is the king of cafeteria responding. My boyfriend is cafeteria responding me but, answered his best friend. 

 [ "Cafeteria Catholicism" ]

1: Derogatory term referring to religious individuals who follow the Catholic faith and pick and choose which doctrines of the Church they wish to follow and which ones they don't.

  * e.g.,  ... "Well, I'm against abortion, euthanasia, and homosexual marriages... But contraceptives are alright in my book." 

 [ "Hot Cafeteria" ]

1: A kicked-up version of a Dutch Oven. When you are laying in bed with a significant other, take a shit in bed and then trap them under the covers.

  * e.g.,  ... Samantha almost threw up when she was tricked into bed by her husband with a surprise that turned out to be a Hot Cafeteria.
