For a girl it could describe the larger size of her hips thighs, bottom or chest and for a boy it could describe his larger sized arms, sholders, thighs, chest and bottom. A person wouldnt necessarily need to be larger or buff in all areas to be considered a buffers

1: Buffering refers to that period of time that you lost previous to when you suddenly become aware you are now not doing anything. This is your brain trying to load normal function and cognition whilst enhanced or debilitated by mind altering drugs. The time you were buffering will be unbeknown to the bufferer and they will then continue with a new task or indeed the original task.

1: Word often used by Irish Travellers to identify someone from the settled community. Travellers traditionally used "country people" but as most Travellers are now living in towns and citys its a bit outdated. Buffer is not an offensive word, but is Traveller slang so you wont find many older Travellers using it.

  * e.g.,  ... My fathers a Traveller but my mothers a Buffer

1: A computer term, means to temporarily store data in an area or device

  * e.g.,  ... Suzy was listening to the radio over the internet when it stopped playing. She looked at the program and it said "buffering".
