2: The breadcrumb is a means of getting back to previous pages without having to use your browsers back button. It is usefull on some websites where previous pages have expired and you cannot access them with the browsers back button.

3: the term breadcrumb is taken from the childrens story Hansel and Gretel in which the children dropped a trail of bread crumbs so that they could find their way back "home".

1: an interjection used after some phrases. It can also mean "I'm coming"

1: When the “crush” has no intentions of taking things further, but they like the attention. So they flirt here or there, send dm/texts just to keep the person interested, knowing damn well they’re staying single.

  * e.g.,  ... Danielle was so flirty the other night, he messaged me 3 times just to say hello, I think he’s coming around. No Susan he’s breadcrumbing you just so you’ll keep nibbling at his heels.

1: A meaningless text message or email from your ex, sent just to get your attention but carrying no actual meaning. Do not respond unless you want to go crazy trying to read deeper meaning into this shiz.

1: When someone gives you tid bits of information on someone or something as to manipulate your feelings and opinions about it. It is a shady way to behave and used by the most opportunistic of individuals. The information is always for their benefit because they don’t care about you. No authentic person breadcrumbs.

  * e.g.,  ... Casey is always breadcrumbing. She only tells part of the story and wants me to hate Jonathan. What a fake friend!

1: The act of sending out flirtatious, but non-committal text messages (ie "breadcrumbs") to members of the opposite sex in order to lure a sexual partner without expending much effort.

  * e.g.,  ... Kelly started breadcrumbing early in the evening in the hopes that one of guys she'd been working might show up for a late-night booty call.

1: The amount of insulting attention or affection given to a male by a girl who is not really interested in him or is deceiving his emotions.

  * e.g.,  ... Jane was flirting with all the boys as she enjoyed the attention. But Philip, whom she claimed was 'a special friend' was totally whipped despite only receiving breadcrumbs. OR Philip was sick and tired of receiving breadcrumbs from Jane and so decided to stop the charade and ask out Cheryl instead; who might take him seriously.
