1: Callsign used by a military commander or leader in radio chatter to indicate the acting commander is speaking instead of that platoons Radio Telephone Operator (RTO). If command calls the platoon and requests "Hunter Two-One", they'll be hailing the unit Hunter Two-One, and will therefore speak to the RTO. If command calls for "Hunter Two-One Actual" they are requesting the acting commander of that unit, as opposed to the unit as a whole (and the RTO).

  * e.g.,  ... -"Hunter Two-One Actual. Come in, Hunter Two-One Actual." -"This is Hunter Two-One." -"No, not the RTO. Hunter Two-One ACTUAL. Just put the lieutenant on the line."

1: A prime example of a "contagious" trend of overused verbage.

  * e.g.,  ... A young girl came into my shop the other day. She was all of six years old. EVERY (yes, no kidding) sentence that came out of her mouth began with the word "actually". It didn't matter what she was responding to.

1: a phrase said when adding on to a sarcastic or joking comment to imply you really actually agree with the sarcasm. otherwise used to indicate you weren't kidding.

  * e.g.,  ... *on facebook picture*

1: The most overused adverb I've ever heard. Used by those whose vocabularies lack adverbs. How annoying.

  * e.g.,  ... Girl: Actually, it goes like this. You actually go to school, where you actually get to make out with this actually cute guy. Then you actually get to know his name, actually hook up with him on friendster... (ad infinitum)

1: This is a word that is typically used by a know it all just before they release a flood of complete and total bullshit on an unsuspecting victim. What follows is usually restated later by the victim as a "fact".

  * e.g.,  ... Me: hey my dog eats his own poop its so disgusting Friend: Actually; its good for dogs to eat their own poop because it helps them maintain the healthy bacteria from their digestive tract. Me: Oh......(does he seriously expect me to buy that load of bullsit?) 

 [ "actuality" ]

1: the state of both actual and real when under theorical prose/ conditions, such as that of the mind or that of the a highly unlikely scenerio... beggers belief that such is possible...

  * e.g.,  ... perhaps of mind perhaps of actuality... actuality used in abstact... due to the high levels of unlikelyness... as that which is supposed may seem actual but may never be real and that which may real may not be actual.

1: Something you say when someone is disagreeing with you and you are trying to prove a point

  * e.g.,  ... I fucked your mum No you didn’t No actually i fucked you mum

1:  An adverb used to debunk rumours and convey information that may result in surprise and fear.

  * e.g.,  ... Zoe: OMG! Can you believe Mr. Fred married that girl?!?!?! Mr. Fred (unbeknownst to Zoe, right behind her): Actually, we're not married yet. Zoe: AHHH FML

1: A word to try to convince someone you are telling the truth!

  * e.g.,  ... Person 1: Dude i so screwed your mom last night!! 

 [ "actuality" ]

1: Derived as a combination of "actually" and "reality" to express something stated is true and really is the case, describes the state of truthfulness of a fact or belief, often conveyed with a sense of surprise that it really is true, hence a reality. The state of something being real or true.

  * e.g.,  ... Many people believe that the tomato is a vegetable, but in actuality it is really a fruit.
