1: Woke Tokenism. ‘Wokenism’ is a form of tokenism performed by people attempting to seem woke, progressive or politically correct. This could be casting one random POC in a period drama set in England, and so telling the story of English history yet again, but this time with some African spice.

  * e.g.,  ... Person 1: ‘Hey, isn’t it cool that Viola Davis has been cast as Florence Nightingale?’ Person 2: ‘I guess... but wouldn’t it be even cooler if she was cast as Mary Seacole? So we could have a film about a woman who really was black, instead of rehashing the same white narratives but shoehorning POCs in for the sake of progressivism, whilst paradoxically denying them the chance to tell their own stories and depict their own histories? Idk... just feels like Wokenism to me.’

1: Being "woke" does not happen all at once -- it is a process, sometimes long and gradual. Sometimes it's interrupted by a bad relationship, family obligations, or just dumb choices.

1: When white Christian nationalists or ultra-MAGA patriots subscribe to the radical pedagogy that adopting (or adapting part of) the Singapore math curriculum would only adulterate theirs, because exposing local students to alien problem-solving strategies and heuristics under the guise of multicultural math or ethnomathematics would only give undue credit to foreign curriculum math specialists and publishers.

  * e.g.,  ... A number of white or “woke” curriculum censors are covertly working hand in hand with American textbook publishers to push for the wokenization of Singapore math, with both parties having a vested interest to ensure that dear inch-deep-mile-wide K–12 math textbooks rather than value-for-money foreign math titles inundate as many states and local schools as possible.

1: Woken wisdom is the illusion that one is intelligent. Someone who speaks as If they know what they are talking about

1: Imaginary tokens you get for being woke in public. You can't exchange them for anything, but getting them gives some sense of meaning to your life that is otherwise devoid of any value.
