1: To summarily dismiss a suggestion of something to do/eat/listen to/etc. Ususally used when the suggestion is distateful to the vetoer.

1: a harsh way to say NO or a way to reject harshly by implementing NO

1: when your friends are refusing to full send and go out that night so you call a veto. The veto means you HAVE to go out or be permanently shamed for the rest of your life, as well as lose your veto privileges in the future.

  * e.g.,  ... "yeah I got vetoed last night and blacked out" "showed up to class this morning drunk, it was a rough veto" "It was a veto, I had to go out"

1: An angry movement toward a thing or style of extra, bad or dirty. Usually, veto, is used by word take+ a, at before of it.

1: To bring embarassment to, or show ones superiority of

  * e.g.,  ... after a burn, or physical embarassment of a friend one would say "Veto"

1: The act of vetoing a map on Halo 3 when the timer is at zero seconds. Originally coined by Proto and Travitch.

  * e.g.,  ... Dude high ground sucks, stealth veto. 

 [ "boyfriend veto" ]

1: When for once, the boyfriend gets the final say on a subject matter, as opposed to the girl getting whatever she wants.

  * e.g.,  ... Hey Suzy, I am going to have to boyfriend veto that idea, it's a bad one. 

 [ "Veto Bomb" ]

1: In halo, where everyone on your team simontaniously vetoes a map with only one second left on the countdown in hopes to play a better map.

  * e.g.,  ... Alright guys, let's drop a Veto Bomb on these baby girls and try to get a better map. 

 [ "Vaginal Veto" ]

1: When a man who is whipped asks his girlfriend/spouse if he can do something with his friends and she tells him no,that is a vaginal veto

  * e.g.,  ... Branden"Hey Bud,the boys and I are goin to the bar to watch the cavs, you in?" 

 [ "pocket veto" ]

1:  A Presidential power where he vetos a bill by leaving it unsigned until congress is out of session.

  * e.g.,  ...  The president pocket vetoed the new bill, try again next session guys.

2:  A Facebook and Myspace tactic where rather than rejecting a comment or friend request you leave it in limbo nither rejected nor accepted. less harsh than a real rejection it also means that the person cannot send another request as long as you have not decided on their original request.

  * e.g.,  ...  Who the hell is this guy? I wont even qualify it with a rejection, pocket veto his ass.
