1: A person originating from Teesside, North East England, particularly Middlesbrough and Stockton, usually an avid fan of Premier League side Middlesbrough Football, and the God that is Juninho. Geordie and Mackam haters, and so called because of the Smog produced by the I.C.I chemical plant. Shortened from original nickname of "Smog monster."

  * e.g.,  ... The Smoggies painted the town red after Middlesbrough victory in the league cup final 2004 in Cardiff, especially since the Geordies won Jack Shit

1: A word used to describe the kind, gentle and successful people of Teesside. Originating from the smog which surrounds the area and comes from ICI. Smoggies can often be found having a few quiet drinks with friends, nattering about key issues effecting the business at a global level and also being fanatical over the most succesful club in the North East - Middlesbrough. Not to be confused with Gerodies & Mackems who, if mythology is to be believed, descended from a race of rats.

1: A parmo eating simpleton from Middlesbrough. Has a fear of doctors but won't tell you why. Most likely made love to his dog when he was in his mid to late teens. Lovely chap mind.

  * e.g.,  ... He's such a Smoggy don't let him near your dog or any of your family members for that matter.

1: Facial expression where you have a depressed fish lip look on your face. Picture a big lower lip, sad face, and dimples.

1: Simple minded smog dweller who lives on junk food. Most often used phrase in smogland is "eh" this is because the smog dweller asks "eh" before all the information has reached the brain possibly due to inbreeding.
