1: "Silverware" originally meant "eating utensils made from silver." (An "eating utensil" being a fork, spoon or knife). Now, all eating utensils are called "silverware" regardless of what materials they are made of!

  * e.g.,  ... REAL silver eating utensils are expensive. Usually you receive a set of real silverware as a wedding gift & you use the set for special occasions. 

 [ "Silverware" ]

1: Term used by guys to alert each other of an attractive woman nearby; specifically, one with a nice butt.

  * e.g.,  ... Charles and Henry are purchasing sodas at the local malt-shop. Henry notices a lovely girl at the jukebox with a big ol booty. 

 [ "silverware" ]

1: bling made of silver. Could be rims, silver chains, anything silver used as a necessity to like go with a fit or a car.

  * e.g.,  ... trying to jack mah silverware, bitch. ill kill you! 

 [ "silverwaring" ]

1: The act of performing the acts of spooning, forking, and kniving in a single period of time.

  * e.g.,  ... We were totally silverwaring all night long! 

 [ "The Silverware Shift" ]

1: The undetermined point in time at which a roommate will finally wash the dishes he/she has used when and if there are no clean dishes left to be used or no clean dishes left that he/she requires.

  * e.g.,  ... Roommate 1: "When is he going to do the dishes?" 

 [ "Silverware Check" ]

1: Used amongst employees of the service (bartender, waiter, busser, etc) field. Meant to bring attention to a certain customer present at a table, booth, counter, or elsewhere within the property for a visually obvious reason without arising suspicion amongst the patrons.

  * e.g.,  ... Busser: Silverware check table 8 

 [ "Silverware Drawer" ]

1: A group of people who are spooning.

  * e.g.,  ... "Hey" said John upon entering his dorm room. "I don't mind you and your girlfriend hanging out in here, but I don't want a frigging silverware drawer in here"! 

 [ "Cell Phone Silverware" ]

1: The act of placing your smartphone next to your plate at dinnertime, whether actually texting someone or not, with the intention to brag about your smartphone, or because you feel the need to check the time every 3 minutes. Usually this is done by people of 16-25 years of age.

  * e.g.,  ... As if they had all previously agreed they'd do it, everyone at the table pulled out their Iphone 27s' and Droid R2-D2s, waved them around to let everyone know they had them, and set them down at the table to use for Cell Phone Silverware. The two crack heads in the corner were the only one's using them, and were checking the time every minute. 

 [ "Ate and left the silverware" ]

1: A phrase used to describe when someone does something extremely well and is now helping others to follow in their footsteps.

  * e.g.,  ... Thomas: "Did you guys see Amanda's performance? It was amazing!" 

 [ "Bad silverware" ]

1: Indicative of a pattern of negative traits or behaviors. A bad look.

  * e.g.,  ... Jeffrey: I’m having an affair with my mother in law.
