1: In layman's terms, self-actualization is when you have reaped the maximum potential out of your personal talents, abilities, creativities and ambitions. Self-actualization only happens when all your lower primal needs have been met (e.g. physiological needs, emotional needs). While self-actualization initially paints a pretty picture inside your head, do not be fooled as the journey is actually quite excruciating. In order to become fully self-actualized you'd have to push yourself to the limits. You'd have to devote yourself solely towards your ambitions and talents, no slacking or fun and games. The world's biggest entrepreneurs such as Steve Jobs were 100% self-actualized, but boy they were under a lot of stress and often overworked to the core. In summary, self-actualization is a very good thing, but it's not for the weak-minded.

  * e.g.,  ... Me in first year psych: *after learning about the concept* Wow I want to achieve self-actualization!!! Me in my fourth year: *suddenly realizes that self-actualization takes hard work and pure dedication* Ehh I think I'll just live a chill life

1: In Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, the highest need. This is the need to achieve one’s full potential

  * e.g.,  ... Last night, after fucking my girlfriend and realizing how far I’ve come from my incel days, I realized that I achieved self-actualization. 

 [ "Self actualization" ]

1: The kind of madness and arrogance that pushes someone to strive after perfection, being the best they can be. To be self actualized, one must emerge from their basal immaturity and embrace a new order of thought and action. The prudent recognize it to be a vane pursuit, but still indulge it for the dividends it pays in advance.

  * e.g.,  ... All the intellectuals old including Sigmund Freud , may be considered to have achieved self actualization for the achievements they made but at what cost one may ask. Sadness and rejection. Condemned to a life of solitude.

1: A yuppie word for bullshit.

  * e.g.,  ... The kids had been hit by self actualization, because their teachers said so and then proceeded to chase them with it. 

 [ "Self actualized asshole" ]

1: Someone who already knows they're an asshole, even if you tell them another thousand times what an asshole or a jerk they are.

  * e.g.,  ... The guy was a self actualized asshole, or If you like saying it a different way, he was the kind of asshole you say he was in a different bullshit way, simple. 

 [ "Self-actualized asshole" ]

1: When a guy knows and realizes he's an asshole and doesn't owe anyone an apology for being himself, he's a self-actualized asshole.

  * e.g.,  ... Guy 1-The feminist thinks you should apologize to her for something you said or did.
