1: A 'remnant' generally refers to a small leftover portion after the main part no longer exists (as in leftover cloth) but for our purposes: the last few girls still at the bar/club as closing time approaches.

 [ "Time Remnant" ]

1: When someone goes back in time, they change the course of history. Meaning their timeline no longer exists from them altering it. This causes them to become a remnant of this old timeline whom is now living in the new altered timeline. Example: You go back in time and kill your ancestor. You no longer exist, meaning you are now a remnant of the timeline where your ancestor lived and you existed.

  * e.g.,  ... Martin Stein: "The reason we cant find any evidence of his existence is because he isn't supposed to exist. He is a time remnant" 

 [ "roadtrip remnants" ]

1: Roadtrip remnants are basically the trash left lying in your car after concluding a long roadtrip, usually with a few friends in tow. They usually consist of, but are not necessarily limited to, (half) empty bags of potato chips, food crumbs, empty soda cans/bottles, food wrappers, fast-food drink cups, and maybe a condom or two.

  * e.g.,  ... After coming back from Utah last weekend, I spent an hour cleaning the roadtrip remnants out of my car.
