1: It's referred to someone who tries to be just like you but that person fails at their attempts.

  * e.g.,  ... I bought a beautiful pair of black mate shoes last week and showed them to Max... I saw him with a exact pair this morning, he's so reductive to me.

1: The practice of providing advice and helpful suggestions to a novice regarding potentially dangerous activities in the hope that they will heed the advice and not cause hurt or harm to themselves or others.

1: Any process by which steps are taken to mitigate the awkwardness of a situation.
