2: Word very misused today. Today it is used as "being different from the rest." Maybe so, but not in all cases. Originality; being yourself, doing what you like. If what you like happens to be the trend, you are in fact, original. Losers try to be original by just being different, which results in not doing what you want to do. Just do what you want, and like it. That's your own originality.

1: individuality, creativity, uniquosity, independence... originality is not making decisions based on brand names and popular votes, is free of labels and generalizations. ironically originality has now become idolized, so it's a trend to be untrendy.

1: a word that is sorely misused today. By stupid (unoriginal) people who define themselves as hippies, punks, emo kids, metalheads, etc. etc. They claim to be original but instead they are tired retreads of some refurbished form of conformity. Can also be used to describe behavioral attributes.

  * e.g.,  ... That angst ridden kid says that people don't understand him because he is original. I say they don't understand him because he is stupid.

1: The way it's used currently, is to deviate from the norm. This is horrifically overrated, and because it's the non-conformist thing to do, other people who feel the same and do the exact same thing are more similar than they are different, even if they are alone. These people are insane, and clearly do not understand the true meaning of originality, like previous definitions state.

  * e.g.,  ... If you want to deviate from the norm and cause yourself to be alone, that's fine. But don't call it originality. 

 [ "The Originals" ]

1: A show on the CW that is a spin-off of the popular TV show and book series, The Vampire Diaries. The main characters are Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah Mikaelson, amongst others such as Hayley Marshall, Davina Claire, Marcel, Cami, etc. The plot of the show is centered on the Mikaelson family as try to make their home in New Orleans, and their many misadventures in the aforementioned city. It is largely focused on the ideals of family, hence the Mikaelson's vow to each other; "Always and forever."

1: a person who does not listen to any particualr type of music. They are not townies, moshers, goths, trendys or anything else, they just act like themselves instead of being fake and following a crowd.

1: Weeeell. This is Opinion based so no Hate(: Originality to me being your self. Being a Character of your own. Having your Style. Meaning that you dress the way you want however the Faawk you want to. Not giving two Sh*ts for what other people think.
