1: A long speech in which a group of children have to listen to an adult tell them that they are immature and wrong and should think of other people first.

1: Being open and sharing becomes lecturing when you're talking to somebody who wasn't looking for your level of openness, which seems like hypocrisy. Like everyone else, the person you're told you're lecturing is a hypocrite too.

1: to browbeat someone with harsh criticism

  * e.g.,  ... Don't lecture me on how to do things.

1: A term of some "more mature" people educating, or delivering some "thoughts of life" to "immature people", usually from parents to their children.

  * e.g.,  ... Ugh, you know what? I just got a 5 hour lecture from my mom just because I showed her a meme!

1: The act of committing oral sex while avioding a project, usually lasting about a half hour.

1: The provider of information in universities. If male elbowpatches are traditional (although you do get the occasional 'cool' one in jeans), if female either powersuits or dressing like a hippy. Results of a lecturer talking are as follows:

4: - a brilliant game of hangman usually more informative than the actual lecture.

1: (also. Lecture-Rant, pronounced Lektcha-rant) An angry lecture that may have an accusatory undertone. A lecture-style scripted performance in which the lecturer consciously speaks truth to power and ignores codes of civility. The word was first introduced at Davidson College (North Carolina) in an event sponsored by the Middle East North Africa Student Association (MENASA).

  * e.g.,  ... It wasn't a lecture. It wasn't rant. It was a lecturant.
