1: Usually occurring on a Friday night after a long work week, this term refers to driving around with your friends doing absolutely nothing because you aren't old enough to get into bars and there's nothing better to do 'round these parts. This activity is most common among teens from rural communities and small towns who mislabel it as "raising hell" to make their lives sound less dull and more badass. Though "raising hell" is often more boring than badass, it is sometimes known to include SERIOUS badass activities, such as loitering, underage drinking, running red lights, and even swerving a couple feet into a cornfield just to be an asshole!

  * e.g.,  ... In the big city, it's called "driving around aimlessly" and it makes you boring. In the country, it's called "raising hell" and it makes you BADASS.

1: to be a maniac and party in the sun, wreaking havok wherever you go, drinking whiskey and tequila and blasting raise a little hell by trooper. is best when there are minimal amounts of clothing being worn.

  * e.g.,  ... "hey, lets take off our pants and raise a little hell!" "raising hell and tequila will sure be the hair of the dog this morning! lets do it!"

1: Popularized by East Coast hood rats, specifically from West Virginia, the saying "raise Hell" is usually accompanied by a raising and shaking of the Hawaiian Shaka sign The slogan is used, and usually yelled, when a rule is broken or other such chaos is caused. A variation of "raise Hell" exists where the "se" is removed from "raise" and the slogan becomes "rai Hell!"
