Uses the blind, patriotic support of the people to institute a corrupt and oppressive government.

1:  A leader who obtains power by means of impassioned appeals to the emotions and prejudices of the populace. A leader of the common people in ancient times. A rabble-rouser. Note that in modern usage the word is derogatory (negative).

  * e.g.,  ... Bill Clinton - The ultimate demagogue. Scandals of the Clinton Administration - sex, murder, illegal campaign funds, white water.

2: (2) A person who usually is a fundamentalist Christian or Religiously/ Ethnically Jewish person who will justify anything that Israelis will do whether it's right or not as just because they are descendants of Holocaust victims or they believe that God wanted the Jewish people to have their own state i.e. state of Israel
