1: Aviation term: a verbal queue expressed by the pilot of a propeller-driven aircraft lacking a starter to a mechanic positioned forward of the engine, indicating that the pilot has connected the main electrical circuit of the aircraft via a switch in the cockpit, and that the mechanic should manually rotate the propeller in order to start the engine.

  * e.g.,  ... "When Lt. Rickenbacker engaged the main switch of his S.P.A.D. fighter, he shouted 'Contact!' to his mechanic to crank the propeller."

1: Used by military personnel to report an encounter with enemy forces. Enemy forces are not necessarily human enemy but can be enemy IDF (Indirect fire) ie Artillery, or IED's/mines.

1: Shortened form of "Contact High," which is getting a high from secondhand marijuana smoke.

1: 1)*predominant usage of the word* Contact lenses, AKA small pieces of plastic (which these days are usually pretty soft, as compared to the older, stiffer "hard" contacts) which are basically stuck on your eyeball as a replacement for glasses. They have grown in popularity in the last several years, to the point where many people have them because they

  * e.g.,  ... 1) My friend just got contacts cause he was sick of his glasses.

1: Word used by uneducated Pacific Islanders during an attempt to sound intelligent - Meant to describe the similarities between the mentality and contact of a rugby game. Word type = Afakasi Half Mentality // Half Contact Used by Pacific Island rugby players during post game interviews in order to sound intelligent but unfortunately create an even worse reputation for themselves.

  * e.g.,  ... “The game today was a very gud, I fink da bois did a very ekshalent job on da field today, good use of the ‘Contactality’ we lern at da training nek wik.

1: Don't wear them to sleep.

  * e.g.,  ... Guy A: my friend wore contacts to sleep, and they got stuck on the back of her eye and she had surgery to remove them .... yeah Guy B (deep voice): That's pretty G.
