1: On Facebook, when you receive a request from someone who you see has several mutual friends, but you know that you have never met them and don't really want to approve their friend request, but you do anyway to avoid looking like an asshole/bitch, this is considered a courtesy approve.

1: Somone who try's to seek approval from other people to feel ok with themselves.

  * e.g.,  ... Fake friend usually are "approval seekers" Around people they are trying to impress.

1: Someone who constantly looks for approval from others. Most likely this person has low self-esteem and only values him/herself based on making other people happy and gaining their approval.
